ETM-Bay Area attended the Volunteer Center's Board Match event on January 12th as one of over 100 participating nonprofit organizations. The Board Match is a free job-fair style event aiming to pair the over 1,000 attendees interested in board service with a nonprofit organization serving a mission matching their own.
We would like to thank the Volunteer Center for hosting the event, the other participating nonprofits for making the event possible, and all of the attendees for their commitment to bettering the Bay Area community through service.
Executive Director Keri Lindell, Board Secretary-Treasurer Mirari Romero, and Development and Marketing Associate Charlie Cohn represented ETM-Bay Area at the Board Match. They met individuals interested in working with ETM-Bay Area and answered their questions, advocated for the importance of music education in the schools, and promoted our mission, work, and programs.
"We're excited to be part of this great event," said Romero. "The Board Match brings people together interested in serving our community. We were pleased to meet other individuals that value the importance of music education and look forward to involving them with our organization."
If you are passionate about restoring music education to the curriculum of schools in the Bay Area, and would like to learn more about serving on our board or volunteering with us, please contact Executive Director Keri Lindell at klindell@etmbayarea.org.
